Taylor Brightwind, Dragonson

Taylor Brightwind is the son of Ariel Brightwind, a priestess, and Yorick, a lowdragon. Yorick was nearly killed by Ariel's father, Bolthor, a dragonslayer, but was able to bribe Bolthor with his treasure to let him go free. While escaping, however, Bolthorn struck Yorick in the wing, causing him to lose his ability to fly. Sour from losing his treasure and his wing, Yorick sought revenge by changing himself into humanform and enchanting Bolthorn's daughter with witchcraft. Soon afterwards, Ariel became pregnant and gave birth to Taylor. Horrified at what had happened, the priestess ran away and went into hiding, never to be found. Taylor, at first, appeared human enough, but as time went on he began to develop dragon-like features, including claws and greenish skin. Eventually, his face almost completely mutated, developing a distorted maw and jagged teeth, making it hard for him to speak. His skin now hardens and dries into thick scaly plates which often crack and split. Outward appearance aside however, the Dragonson, as he is known, is virtually perfect. He possesses the strength and speed that can only be found in a dragon, able to lift thousands of pounds at a time and catch swift field rabbits with ease. He heals almost instantly from any injury, and ages much slower than any other man. Despite his great abilities, his origins make it hard for him to fit in anywhere; he now lives in a nameless village where he serves as a farmhand, performing task such as moving produce and catching wild animals.
